Most people know Charles Tillman because he had a long and illustrious 12-year run with the Chicago Bears.

But not as many people know he’s from Chicago.

When The Middle School Rules of Charles “Peanut” Tillman came out in late 2015, Charles expressed his anger and disappointment about the violence in his hometown. MSR Tillman Cover (Big)

“It’s a war zone,” Tillman told Mark Konkol of DNAinfo Chicago. “Kids are scared.”

In the months since, sadly, the violence hasn’t slowed – and both Charles and I wanted to do something for the kids.

So here’s our idea: We are proud of MSR, and we believe it can provide hope to a lot of Chicago kids. Through Celebrities for Charity, Charles has set up a raffle that includes a pair of tickets to Super Bowl 50, two nights hotel accommodations at the Double Tree by Hilton, airfare, an autographed Charles Tillman jersey and even an expense allowance. The seats are in level 200, which one website said provides “an incredible view of the field.”

The minimum purchase is $10 and nets you five raffle tickets. The entry deadline is Thursday, February 4, at 12 p.m. EST.

Celebs for Charity LogoAll proceeds benefit the Tiana Fund (through the Cornerstone Foundation), which provides assistance to economically at-risk persons or families in-need at hospitals, and toward the distribution of MSR in Chicago to elementary and middle school students.

There has been no shortage of interest, with many people buying tickets and mentioning the raffle on social media platforms.
